Contraindications for Treatment
- Patients with diabetes, auto-immune disease, herpes simplex, or epilepsy
- Silicone implants
- Dermal fillers or Botox within 2 weeks
- Post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH)
- Lesions suspicious of malignancy
- Active infection: bacterial, viral, fungal
- Active tanning, recent UV exposure
- Medications that affect coagulation or on blood-thinners
- Compromised or slowed healing
- Use of topical retinoids or retinols
- Predisposed to keloid formation or scarring
- Photosensitivity
- Oral/systemic steroids
- Accutane
